Introduction:
Prof. Yi Mao is a theoretical astrophysicist and cosmologist. His main research interests are cosmic reionization, cosmic dawn, and 21-cm cosmology. His main activities include: (1) developing the cutting edge algorithm used to perform numerical simulations of reionization on supercomputers; (2) searching for the characteristics of cosmic reionization and cosmic dawn on the statistical observables of the redshifted 21-cm line; (3) developing new data analysis methods, based on machine learning techniques, for the scientific interpretation of 21-cm data with the upcoming Square Kilometre Array (SKA) experiment; (4) synthesize the mock data of the 21-cm intensity mapping at low redshifts.
