Department of Astronomy (DoA) at Tsinghua University invites applications for tenure-track or tenured faculty positions in observational, experimental, and theoretical/computational astrophysics. Tsinghua University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in China, and is also highly ranked internationally. It is presently undergoing a major expansion in its astrophysics program.
The current research at DoA spans a wide range of topics, including cosmic reionization and 21cm cosmology, galaxy formation and evolution, circumgalactic and intergalactic media, exoplanets and planet formation, active galactic nuclei, supernovae, and X-ray binaries. In addition, the faculty members are involved in developing instrumentation for X-ray satellite missions and ground-based facilities. DoA strives to create an accommodating and stimulating academic environment for researchers of all nationalities. English is a working language.
