30 years after the ROSAT all-sky survey (1990), eROSITA performed X-ray all-sky surveys again in 2020-2022, in which 90% of the sky was observed in the X-ray band with high resolution for the first time. The eROSITA all-sky surveys (eRASSs) will detect millions of AGNs and tens of thousands of galaxy clusters and open a large space of discoveries. I will introduce eRASS and three research topics that become feasible thanks to eRASS, including 1). The structure of the eROSITA bubbles revealed through X-ray imaging; 2) the isotropy of the universe constrained by the X-ray AGN distribution; and 3) X-ray monitoring of a sample of AGN.

BIO

Teng liu studied at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2003-2013, first in the School of Gifted Young for the B.S. degree and then in the Astronomy Department for the Doctor degree. Then he worked at USTC as a postdoctoral researcher and associate professor in 2013-2017, and worked at the Max-Planck-Institute for extraterrestrial Physics (MPE, Germany) in 2017-2023. In 2010-2012, he studied at the Observatory of Trieste (Italy) for two years as a joint educating Ph.D. He also worked at the University of Massachusetts (USA) for a year in 2016 as a visiting scholar. He came back to USTC in 2023 and is currently a professor of the Astronomy Department. He has worked on multiple X-ray surveys using XMM-Newton, Chandra, Swift, and eROSITA, and has published multiple X-ray catalogues. His research interests include AGN, galaxy clusters, and hot ISM in the Milky Way.
