The discovery of neutrino oscillation established a non-zero mass of neutrino.  The origin of neutrino and its non-zero mass is an one of the most important experimental clues to the new physics beyond the standard model.  Neutrinos are ubiquitous in the universe, accompanying most of the weak-interacting physics processes. I shall review natural and artificial sources of neutrinos with an emphasis on the research frontiers, such as the neutrino mass ordering, CP-violation of leptons, the neutrino mechanism of core-collapse supernova and the isotope abundance puzzles of the solar system related to neutrino observations.

I shall turn to the principle and technologies of neutrino detectors, focusing on the next-generation gigantic neutrino observatories in the next decade.  My group is developing tracking-Cherenkov-scintillation, a novel approach for homogeneous liquid neutrino detectors aiming for computed imaging of physics interactions with scintillation and Cherenkov photons.  I shall highlight our roadmap, recent progress and conclude with a prospect on the next-action plans.
