Introduction to the Certificate Program in Astronomy Courses:
The "Astronomy Course Certificate Program" was established by the Department of Astronomy Tsinghua University in the fall of 2021, aiming to provide an undergraduate professional-level education in astronomy for students interested in the field. Through program, students will master the basic knowledge of astronomy and receive essential training in core skills necessary for astronomical observation.
This program is open to all current students (graduates and graduates) at the university, with the goal of opening a window into the universe for those filled with curiosity about the unknown cosmos, helping them the "literature of the sky" as mentioned by Mr. Feng Zikai, and appreciate the deep beauty of the laws of the universe. It encourages to live and study with a broader mindset, and contribute to society.

Introduction to the Minor in Astronomy:
Tsinghua University offers more than 40 minors, open to full-time undergraduate students including international students and students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Students in the dual-degree undergraduate program are not allowed to minor. Graduate students are not to minor in undergraduate programs. The minor in astronomy was introduced in 2023 and began to recruit students, focusing on coursework and including a research training.
